Nishi-Nippori is located in northeast Tokyo near Ueno and is accessible via the JR Yamanote-Line. Surrounding the station are many restaurants, cafes and quaint shops giving the neighborhood a traditional feel. Nearby points of interest include Yanaka Ginza featuring a Showa-era style Japanese shopping street with winding roads amongst shops and izakaya (Japanese bar/restaurant). Ueno Park, Zoo and many museums are less than a kilometer away with other major attractions such as Akihabara within a 9 minute train ride. This is a perfect place to reside if you want to be in a quiet part of the city, but still be connected to the Yamanote-Line and be within close vicinity of many famous Tokyo sites.
